Today, we embark on a captivating journey that will lead us to the renowned town of Santa Catalina. However, before reaching our final destination, we have an exciting itinerary planned to immerse ourselves in the rich tapestry of Panamanian culture.

Our first stop takes us to the picturesque town of La Pintada, nestled in the captivating Province of Cocle. During our brief visit, we'll delve into the historical significance of Panama as a meeting place for North and South American cultures, where commerce and religious ceremonies intertwined.

As the afternoon approaches, we anticipate our arrival in the captivating town of Santa Catalina. Here, we are greeted by a charming ambiance and a leisurely atmosphere. It is also a vital component of the migratory route known as the Eastern Pacific Marine Corridor.

Once a high-security prison during Panama's dictatorship in the latter half of the 20th century, Coiba Island has remained largely untouched, allowing its tropical moist forest to flourish and creating a haven for an astonishing array of biodiversity.
