Off Roads travel was founded by adventurers who have been traveling the world for quite some time. After growing up in crowded cities, they started traveling around the world. After visiting many cities and landscapes, they discovered that the purest wisdom and power cannot be found in books, podcasts or courses but that pure intelligence can be found in nature and the way it operates.

During a trip through Brazil they stayed in the Amazon for a while. This experience opened their eyes and the deep jungle tours were the perfect remedy against the busy city life at home to experience the world in a completely different way.

At Off Roads Travel, we have established a wide network of multilingual providers, enabling us to collaborate with the best specialized tour guides.

Also in Brazil, we came in contact with Ney, a well respected native Amazonian tour guide for over 20 years. Born and raised in the Amazon rainforest, Ney knows the area like his backyard. For years he has shown hundreds of people from all over the world the hidden gems of the Amazon.

We are still a small company, with a few locations but in time we will definitely expand to other countries and bring people in contact with the power of nature.

ABOUT YOUR AMAZON JUNGLE GUIDE

MEET NEY!

My official name is Rosiney Lima Maia, but all my friends call me Ney. I was raised inside the jungle in a small village where I learned

how to hike, fish, hunt and camp in the Amazon rainforest.

I started working as a jungle guide to show tourists the way into the jungle in 2000. During the time, I learned English, so I can tell you all the jungle stories of the Amazon. My specialty is the Northern part of Manaus, because that is where I was born and raised.

If you want to get to know the authentic, wild jungle, this is exactly the right trip. Away from other trouristic activities offered in and around Manaus. It is especially exciting to learn about the traditions and listen to the stories of Ney's family. Of course, Ney and his family live in a much more modern way now, but you notice every moment that they want to live on and pass on their culture. They protect their land and live very consciously with nature.

Overall, we had a super eventful trip, in a small group, away from the touristic activities. The two guides (Ney and his brother) deserve special mention - always friendly and courteous and always ready with an impressive story."

"Ney and his team provide a truly unique experience. This is packed with sleeping in the jungle, piranha fishing, exploring the amazon by boat in floating forests and eating some local fish and other dishes.

There is also the opportunity to see some amazing views in nature, be these the extensive wildlife or the stunning sunsets and the Milky Way on clear nights. The river gives you a very unique Amazon perspective.

Ney and his team have been hit hard by the pandemic but are building this amazing business up again and I hope it goes from strength to strength in the future.
